Electrical Discharge Machining (E.D.M.), sometimes also referred to as spark machining, spark eroding, burning, die sinking, wire burning or wire erosion, is a manufacturing process where a desired shape is obtained by using electrical discharges. Material is expelled from the metal plate by a series of rapidly recurring current discharges between two electrodes separated by a dielectric liquid and subject to an electric voltage. In WKW Precision we have the machinery and expertise to carry out this machining process. We have the capacity to profile out components made from Tungsten Carbide, Exotic Steel Alloys, Titanium, Aluminum or any material that conducts electricity.
